Redhead binoculars, rifle scopes and spotting scopes are made in China and are a knock-off of Bushnell products. I don't hear to many good things about Redhead products. I'm not sure you could ever get rid of a trait like that. Red hair is a recessive trait. If you have two people who get together and they both carry the recessive trait, they have a 1 in 4 chance of producing a child in which it is dominant.
The main issue with most optics is that they are designed for one specific task and while most optics excel in one thing or another, they usually fail at something else. A good long range optic is poor at close range, and a close range optic is poor at long range.
